What do YOU want from BlogStorm
It occurred to me today that I don’t really know what people who read BlogStorm are looking for, at the moment I just write whatever I think people might be interested in.
It would be cool if some of you readers could let me know whether you want to read really advanced SEO and linkbaiting tips, comments on news from the internet marketing industry, affiliate marketing tips, beginners SEO tips or anything else you can think of.
I’ve got lots of time to spend on this blog and want to focus my time on providing the best possible posts.
So, if you have an idea for a post or if there is a topic you want me to cover in a series of posts please let me know in the comments.

How about something about breaking through traffic barriers. My Sciencetext.com site sat at around 200 uniques a day for a while at the start but some hopefully more useful content and a couple of spikes from social networking/bookmarking sites over the summer has taken it to the 1000 uniques a day mark. I’d like to move onwards and upwards to the next level again…10000 a day. How can I achieve that?
My vote goes to: “really advanced SEO and linkbaiting tips”
The thing I care about the least is: “comments on news from the internet marketing industry”
Personally – I like to read for the following reasons:
1) to see great linkbait in action. It’s all very well talking about it (and I do pick up tips that way) but the best way I like to learn is to watch it in action. You’re enjoying a lot of success on social media at the moment and it makes for engaging reading!
2) For the technical SEO ideas – like your thoughts on getting links from people wanting to hotlink your images. You have a great knowledge of SEO AND a sound technical knowledge which often means some great ideas come out.
3) Your niche news items, like for example picking up that you can rank in google images without having any images. That kind of thing is very useful to read about.
Stuff I don’t really read about so much is the general news (although there’s not too much of that on here) as I pick most of that up on SEL etc.
Hope that’s some helpful advice!
Link baiting, in a way that’s repeatable. I often see a piece of linkbait that does very well quickly followed by a “how I succeeded with this link bait” post. And the trouble with that is that often the original idea is something that cannot easily be replicated.
Since you’re in the UK maybe you could provide some SEO for sites targeting a audience. I live in Canada and most of us search using google.com (not .ca). Google knows those searchers are from Canada based on IP and I’ve wondered if that means they bump up Canadian results even though “canada” may not be in the search query.
If I have a Canadian site that Canadians will primarily find via U.S. search engines, how do I optimize it to get in the SERP’s for Canadians?
Sorry, my comment should read “targeting a non-U.S. audience” in the first sentence.
I’d love to see more advanced SEO tips, too. Thanks for everything!
I am sure you are up to date with what is happening in the internet marketing world.
I have a full time course and following a masters course, so time is scarce for me.
If you could start providing us links to forums and blogs that provide news that you consider useful.
Thanks and keep up the great work.
I think you are doing a great job.
I have blogstorm on my iGoogle page along with digg and eurogamer.
I think more articles on SEO for very small sites would be good, I have a lot of 5page websites that people want optimising and any hints/tips would be great.
