Study on how many links Digg sends

by Patrick Altoft on / no responses

Dan Zarrella has carried out a study of over 33,000 stories that hit the Digg homepage to analyse link data for keywords, topics and even days of the week.

The report is available as a PDF and the article is over here.

Interestingly stories promoted on a Monday seem to attract the most links, maybe from bloggers desperate to publish their first post of the week. Stories in the travel & places category did better than I expected, clearly lots of linkbait potential there.
