All our tools relate to SEO and I registered at sphinn, started to network there adding number of posts, telling how the tools we build contribute to search engine marketing, etc. I also had friends and we cooperated, networked on sphinn

second time already I visit my profile and … have no profile any more. No warning, no answering my questions.

you may have a clue ? I read all the terms and conditions…

I already am so annoyed want to give up. at least someone should give me some notice, since I am a sincere networker.

We must remember, that there are a number of people out there, business people as well, who still have little to no concept of how marketing actually works. Some people genuinely think that by posting links like this, other people may actually be interested and click through or vote. No real thought goes into it.

Working with small business websites every day, I am always amazed at how little they know or even think about how marketing works. They are so convinced in the brilliance of their offer or service (despite the fact that it’s not that brilliant) that they think telling people about it is enough.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t fully understand the SEO benefits of submitting to these sites but rather view any site with a comment screen or link submission form as a way to leaflet the world with their deal. They are just handing out flyers – internet style. Of course just as in the real world, we screw them up the moment we walk around the corner.

I’ve seen alot of this on lots of these digg types of sites, i dont see why they dont just cloak the url and if its a spider IP send it to the spam stuff and if its human send it to an article…. not to difficult to do nowadays and virtually undetectable by the sites.
