We need an experienced Front End Developer / GUI Developer to join a leading shopping comparison service whose websites achieve millions of unique visitors per day. As a truly global business our client powers some of the largest consumer shopping sites on the web!

Acting as an essential member of the web team you will play a key role in designing, developing and implementing Graphical User Interfaces across a range of high profile company websites. You must be an advocate for great design and possess demonstrable experience in UI development in order to build, enhance and maintain high quality and standards compliant code.

In more detail your role will include the following:

• Working closely to design briefs in order to create user interfaces that follow brand guidelines and meets usability standards.
• Collaborate with Graphic Design and User Experience teams to refine and enhance the overall user experience.
• Liaise with backend engineers to ensure successful implementations
• Develop functional design prototypes to aid site development and research.

In return you will need to possess strong technical skills including: JavaScript, CSS, HTML/XHTML and DOM; Have real-world experience with toolkits and frameworks such as Dojo, Prototype, Scriptaculous or YUI and be experienced in working on lightweight UI/UEs with focus on usability, performance principles and cross-browser development techniques.
