Google Website Optimiser is Broken

by Patrick Altoft on / 4 responses

Google Website Optimiser sounds so promising but it’s very hard to actually find.

To start with when you search on Google for “google website optimiser” you are directed to this page which is just a campaign preview page. Clicking on the AdWords ad takes me to this page which makes me sign the terms of service every single time I load it up.

Website Optimiser

Aside from the problems I have in actually accessing the service I also ended up with a 98.13% conversion rate of visitors to subscribers on Blogstorm which was interesting.

Never used Google Website Optimizer.
What does it help to do?
Did you find it finally? :)

It’s great for multivariate testing once you get it right.

Odd, Patrick, I set up a simple A/B one last night at about 20h?! Admittedly, I accessed the page ditrectly from “my account” and not through SERPs but it was working fone for me!

Dave.

P.S. been following for a while, but 1st comment. Great blog, and keep it up (from a fellow Northern Englishman in Barcelona!).
