Digg broken or hacked

by Patrick Altoft on September 28, 2007

A problem with the Digg API used for the external Digg buttons people use on their sites is playing havoc with certain stories tonight.

Everybody who tries to click some of the buttons is being redirected to a 348 day old Chinese story which is suddenly up to 50 Diggs.

People are seeing Digg buttons on their sites reporting high Digg counts, getting excited and then being redirected through to the Chinese story.
