I have been on Mediatemple for a good 7 months, and so far everything has been good. There is the occasional setback, but after you take 30 seconds to submit a support ticket they hire a team to fix it within an hour.
Hmmm hope you had better luck with them than I did. It was a mess for several weeks and then they still couldn’t get things fixed… in the meantime while they promised to fix everything, I found (AND LOVE) SLICEHOST.
What are you using? DV or GS? I’m planning to try DV, because GS looks slow for me, esspesially in first response… Even for simple wordpress installation

I’ve been with MT since November of last year. Overall they’ve been pretty good for me. I’ve heard mixed things from others, but that applies for all hosts.
How come your sites moved to the US?
It has always been hosted in the US. Before it was with a UK company on US servers but they had appalling support.
So if you’re a UK site (and you’ve got a UK business) why don’t you want to be UK based?
Nick I would quite happily have been UK based. I mainly run .co.uk sites so hosting location doesn’t affect their rankings.
Media Temple was recommended by a friend (yoast.com) and that’s why I chose them.
Hosting is a strange thing. Three times I’ve gone with hosts that have had exceptional service to start with and then slowly went downhill until I had no option but to move on.
Maybe it’s me!!!
