Last week we launched a new free service to connect web publishers with advertisers looking to get their products mentioned by blogs and news sites.
The service, called Blogstorm Buzz Marketing, will be run as an email list and has already had a good response. As is usually the case with services like this it is the visionaries and early adoptors that join first. Invitations have been sent this morning to all those who requested access.
So far the publisher membership is full of the sort of people who really understand how to drive traffic to websites and promote their blogs. By my calculations the bloggers in the group have a combined RSS readership of 150,000.
In terms of advertisers there are a number of direct advertisers and also people like me who have a list of clients crying out to be mentioned by popular blogs. Historically the payout for getting mentioned on a blog is way too low. I have clients more than happy to pay £500 to be mentioned on the right blog.
