Blogs vs New York Times, blogs win

by Patrick Altoft on / no responses

In 2002 Dave Winer had a bet that by 2007 blogs would outrank the New York Times on Google for keywords related to the top 5 news stories of the year.

The bet expires this year and, you guessed it, blogs were the winner.

The only problem with the study is that it is more a representation of which site happened to have the keywords in the title tag.

Also guess which site ranked best for all the queries? Wikipedia.
