How to backup your website or blog
Daniel at Daily Blog Tips has a tip today about backing up your blog that I wanted to expand on slightly.
Most of you will be able to use the Wordpress backup plugin but for BlogStorm I don’t use Wordpress so have to use another script.
The script I use is Backup2Mail and it is quite simple to install. The script sends a backup email every 24 hours (or however often you run the cron) to your gmail account.
If you don’t have a backup system in place for your files and database you need to start thinking about it.

I backup the DB ok. I am however looking for a script that will backup every x number of days the wordpress folder i.e. themes, plugins etc.
Any ideas?

Not sure really, I tend to rely on my host and my PC for file backups. Anything on my server is on my PC as well which has a backup.

That’s one of the best plugins i’ve ever seen, because i’m very lazy, i have many blogs and i find it hard to backup them manually.
Now i just have to get out of this laziness and install the plugin on them all.

Patrick, very cool indeed. Thanks for mentioning it. I am lazy as well, so this will solve the trouble.
