9 authority sites that give out free links

by Patrick Altoft on October 9, 2007

Inspired by Scotts post about how to get a link on CNN and the BBC I decided to investigate the top high authority sites that give out free search engine spiderable links.

The first 8 sites are all allowing Google to index their web search results and News.com allows even the spammiest viagra comments.

These links may or may not have been devalued by Google.

Some of those must be recent additions. All the sites still have a number of spam pages indexed in Google.

This is great and all, but is there any actual value in it? They are search results pages, not actual links from the site.
