KeywordSpy has been sending unsolicited spam emails and comment spam to a whole host of bloggers recently and I thought it was about time their practices were made public.
If you are getting spam from KeywordSpy leave a comment below.
This is the first email I got yesterday from “Kelly”, you can see from the referrer string they have just searched Google for anybody mentioning SpyFu, their competitor.

Barely 2 hours later “Jenni” emailed from the same address as “Kelly” to say this:
Hello,
I found this great adwords tool KeywordSpy.com for keyword researching & also its affiliate program. It really worked well earning me good profits. They track affiliate keywords on powerful networks like ClickBank, Commission Junction, LinkShare, PayDotCom, ClixGalore, ShareASale, MAXBounty, TradeDoubler, Amazon.
I noticed it when I read many people who use keywordspy are making very good revenue & can see who are the super affiliate, look at the keywords, the ad copies and setup similar campaigns. In 10 minutes we can have a affiliate campaign setup that is already profitable.
It very useful for tracking what your competitor is doing, tracking all advertisers on Google in over 20 countries.
I could also monitor my competitor’s marking strategies. Therefore KeywordSpy can be used to imporove own PPC campaign by finding better keywords. We could exchange some more ideas & tools if you have come across.
Thanks,
Jenni.
Just to make sure I didn’t miss the emails they were sent to my branded3 address as well.

I got one from a name Dane but i did not care thinking this might be one of the regular spam.. But didn’t know that it has so much buzz all around! lol
I haven’t noticed anything from them coming through yet, but I get a lot of junk every day and would probably have just deleted it with out thinking about it anyway. I will keep an eye out and post any details if I now get spammed from them.
Yes, they spam me to death, but not as bad as the ContactThem network who has probably every single email address I have ever owned in their database.
I have been spammed by them, but I have never mentioned SpyFu.
I haven’t received any mails from KeywordSpy, but for some time, I have had a lot of referrals from their website. This made me wonder, if they are active in referral spamming as well?
The sites in question are quite obscure sites in Danish, and I honestly do not think that all five of them – on completely unrelated subjects – could attract the attention of competitors wanting to check them out with Keyword Spy..
yes!! they constantly spam me!
Yeah they have spammed me as well, a lot via contact forms with captchas too, which is a little annoying!
I have mentioned SpyFu but haven’t been spammed by KeywordSpy (yet!)
Like Frank Hellerup Madsen I’ve seen a lot of referrals from them which suggests to me that they’re also spamming those.
Yup, I get them regularly as well as referral spam which I detest more than email spam
Excellent post Very informative… Thank you so much.. Always keep up with your good work
